How Our Search Started For Our Dream Life In Italy

The start of our adventure to the Marche region of Italy

We are about to start our adventure across Europe to Italy and hope all our friends & family will follow our progress, along with anyone else who has an interest in relocating to Italy.

We were inspired by a program called No Going Back that was aired on channel 4 TV in the UK. We followed Richard, Sarah & family on there adventure from the UK to Pescia, Italy and have been in touch with them and continued to follow there progress to this day. During our holiday to Italy we fell in love with the Italian people and there culture. The slower pace of life means we hopefully don't have to drive to the shops at a hundred miles per hour just to get a pint of milk, it all seems stress free (apart from the red tape).

What we are aiming to achieve in Le Marche

We are hoping to find a property in Le Marche, Italy and to do some major D.I.Y to get the place ready for anyone who wishes to visit or stay with us. Our main aim is to start a new life in Italy and to earn a living via guest staying with us and giving them the chance to see Italy. I will also be branching out in the computer upgrade, support, web design and general information field, because as most people that know me will tell you that I spend far to much time sitting in front of computers, so it's a natural progression for me.

2nd May 2006

Our adventure has started and we are now homeless, so you will have to contact us here or keep returning to this site to keep up to date with our progress! We were getting excited and a bit apprehensive at this time, but we are determined to make this work as long as the butterflies don't get the better of us (they won't). So now you really need to email us because we may need somewhere to live "he he". We will be onto stage 2 of our plan (I will add the stages as I think of them) which includes staying with relatives for a few weeks and hunting down a campervan and then onto stage 3 Italy here we come!
