News 2007 -2009

If you look on the All Blogs Page or the Blog Offsite Pages, it has all the up to-date information. Just in case you don't know, have a look at the bottom of all the web pages to see when we last up-dated each of them and if you wish to contact us (as many of you have done so far (thanks for you support)), you will also find our contact e-mail address link. The reason we have our e-mail address in text and not linked to open your e-mail program is due to spammers sending us junk mail and takes us and our software time to search through all the rubbish, so for the time being could you enter our e-mail address into your e-mail program and I will resolve this once we are setup in Italy (thanks).

Now that we are back on-line we would love to here your comments on our website, blogs (good or bad) and of course we always love hearing what you have been up to so whenever you get a free couple of minutes or if you read the blog pages and you can think of anyway that we can make it even better just let us know or if you think that the website could be better organized or can think of anything that would be of interest to people then once again just drop us an e-mail as we love to chat with people that are watching or blogs, website. You may have noticed that on the bottom of some of the web pages that have text a new feature for anyone that speaks a different language, it means that they can translate the pages with just a click on the Google translation link so if you are one of our many foreign visitors it maybe easier to translate the page, its not perfect but quite a good translation.(I know that if you don't understand English then you may not read this, but if you happen to translate this web page then you will and may help.)

View Le Marche Italy

While driving around Le Marche we just had to stop to take these pictures, BUT you really need to see the views in person, as the pictures don't do justice to the real thing! Some of these pictures were taken with my mobile so I apologize for the quality.

Please use this link or from the video list at the right hand side of this page!

Our House & Renovations

Their are a few pictures compiled into a short video of our renovation project on the Restoration Page, the house itself is sound and structurally good so what you see is not what you would expect in the UK. The pictures were taken in haste during our flying visit as explained in the blog's and have continued to add photo's as the work progresses. We have undertaken quite a large project in the respects of renovating the property because we have to install a septic tank (done), gas tank (done) as well as converting the stable under the house (started) and the stable that is the outbuilding (possibly in a couple of years), also all the electrics in both buildings, but we are not daunted by this and can't wait to get started. If you still keep returning then you can watch our progress during the renovation. Work on the apartment has now stopped due to the recession but we will still be doing any necessary work until exchange rates have recovered so you may have to wait a bit longer to have a vacation with us.

Restoration Page

The back wall of the bathroom will be knocked down to make a computer room (done), Room 3 will become kitchen/diner, Room 1 will become the lounge and room 2 will be a bedroom, room 4 will be split into a bathroom & bedroom (done). The stable under the house will become guest accommodation. The temporary roof at the rear of the house will become a sun terrace and eventually a bigger guest area and the roof to the side of the house will become a pagoda wooden structure as will the one attached to the outbuilding.

This is a short video of our local villages and views. Sorry if you get bored with looking at all the pictures but have not had time to put all the best shots together so for now you have to press pause if you need to get a cup of tea halfway through, but as ever when I get time I will sort this out and as you know I have more than enough work to look forward to so please just bare with me. (Click here to watch) or select from the list on the right hand side!

Other Information

We went to the La Dolce Vita Show at Olympia in London on the 9th of March 2007 to see Giovanni & Alison on there stand and to wish them luck. It was a very interesting day where we were introduced to some contacts by Giovanni & Alison and had another chance to see our architect (Ugo & Bianca) who is currently drawing up plans for our new home. We also had a chance to drink and taste more delights from Italy so if you do get the opportunity to visit the show its packed with people waiting to give out information on all things Italian and is therefore a good starting place if you are thinking of relocating to Italy or if you are just interested in there culture.
